My Top 5 WordPress Plugins
If you use WordPress then you know all about plugins. Plugins make the world go round. Down below is my 5 favorite plugins, which were probably the reason you found my post in the first place.
Note: This post does not include the normal MUST HAVE plugins such as Akismet, Google Sitemaps and the rest.
1. Add Post Footer Plugin - The most important and useful plugin ever created for WordPress. This plugin almost forces your blog visitors to read all other posts associated with the one they are currently reading. You can also add all the juicy like ads, tracking code and more to the bottom of your posts.
2. Subscribe to comments – Something I tend to forget at times. When visitors comment, they can chose to receive a notification when more comments are made on that post. This will bring those comment hungry visitors right back.
3. HeadSpace2 – You need a healthy SEO if you want your posts to be found. HeadSpace2 takes care of all your meta-tag needs.
4. Sociable- Want your posts on Digg, SU, Mixx and the rest? The you need Sociable. It automatically add links to your favorite social bookmarking sites on your posts, pages and in your RSS feed.
5. Twitter Tools – If you don’t have Twitter yet, please register one as soon as possible. I use Twitter tools to automatically post a Twitter update with a link to my latest post. It works.
If you don’t use and of these plugins yet, I will recommend trying them out as soon as possible. If believe other plugins to be more important than these, please comment and let me know.

Much thanks for the first-rate tutorial. I am always searching for fantastic WordPress plugins to recommend to my visitors. Thanks for making this tutorial . Do you know the answer to this question: Will inactive plugins make WordPress slow down? I am aware that active WordPress plugins will slow it down, but I’m just curious if inactive plugins will? Anybody know?

Hi,
If they’re not active they wont load, which mean they shouldn’t have any impact on your load time. I suggest installing a cache plugin to increase load speed.
