There’s plenty of reasons you might want to syndicate other feeds to your blog. If you have a lot of projects you might want to have one “home” where you show all the latest posts from all your blogs either in a widget or as posts. If you use posts you can either show post excerpts where the title links to the blog post or you can syndicate full feeds and include a link in the content body which points to the original source.
Of course if you don’t own the content you are syndicating I suggest only importing the post excerpt with a direct link back to the original source. Below are a few plugins and two themes that you can use to do what I mentioned above. All the plugins are free.
Plugins:
Maybe the most well-known option, which also sports the most options. Unfortunately it is also the one I’ve had the most problems with, either slow load times or timeouts or feeds simply not importing.
I would recommend checking it out if you like having a bunch of options. Supports full feed to post syndication.
FeedWordPress is an open-source Atom/RSS aggregator for the WordPress weblog software. You set up feeds that you choose, and FeedWordPress syndicates posts from those sources into your WordPress posts table, where they can be displayed by your WordPress templates like any other post — but with additional meta-data about the source of each syndicated post, so that your templates can properly attribute the post to its source
2. WPeMatico
Probably not as well-known as FeedWordPress and not as feature packed, but works well and sports all the options I want to use. Includes link post tile to original post, multiple feeds, post templating etc.
WPeMatico is for autoblogging, automatically creating posts from the RSS/Atom feeds you choose, which are organized into campaigns.
Give it a whirl.
Not one I’ve worked with personally, but I’ve heard some good stuff about it, even thought it’s a new addition to the syndication game. Options look simple enough but limited.
Simple and easy to import RSS feeds from several websites that you want. Keeping the content is always fresh with the display news or articles that are always updated.
Themes
Yes, you might not be aware of this, but some themes are actually setup to specifically utilize the wonders of that which are news feeds.
1. Aggregator (Free)
The name says it all. It has a wonderful front-page populated by widget areas where you insert the custom Aggregator Widgets which work like normal Rss Widgets. You can of course also insert ads and the like. It’s made by Templatic so you know it should work most of the time. See DEMO.
2. Accumulo

“Accumulo Content Aggregator
An AllTop-style RSS content aggregator theme that comes with a clean design, custom widgets and custom templates for blogging. Create and monetize your own social media hub with ease.”
You can see on in action HERE. It one-ups the free Aggregator because it allows categorization of feeds, which is nice.
If you have anymore we should add please let us know. Remember you can discuss these plugins and themes in our support forum.
