This is the best and most complete one-click install, fully integrated forum plugin available for WordPress IMO. I was actually searching for the BBpress integration plugin, but then stumbled upon “Forum Server”. Decided I will try it out on one of my test blogs and voila, one click and a fully integrated working forum.
I usually don’t go all crazy about plugins, but this one seriously is awesome. You can install it via , Plugins->Add New->Forum Server->Activate.
I Found Another Great Forum Plugin.
You can also use Mingle Forum , see it in action Here.

I like the way it looks but before you start marketing your site I suggest you at least try simple press it’s so amazing! Worst case is you uninstall and delete it.
Man I hate finding something great and then finding something even better. So I’m actually scared of trying simple press.
Yeah I hear ya. well if it’s working out fine for you right now then I don’t see why you cannot keep it. I woudl just hate to see you put all the work into it and delete it to start over like you did with your SMF forums for phpbb.
It’s one of my many weaknesses. I usually throw stuff away for something new. But I’ll definitely give Simple Press a try. Your personal thoughts : Should I stay with PhPbb or go with a fully integrated wp forum plugin?
Now that’s a personal opinion. I guess it depends on hat your goals are with your forum and blog.
I haven’t seen much success with wordpress forums have you?
Good point. Maybe I should scrap the forum idea until I have a bigger readerbase and fully functioning theme.
.
Okay guys…are you talking about forums inside wordpress? Is this comparable to phpbb? Because most wordpress site I see has phpbb forums and not a wordpress plug in. Anyways maybe because there’s no WP forum plug ins before. Oh well…nice site you got but you need more people in your forum.
Michael
Thanks for the comment. I replied on the forum and made a comment on your blog. I’m talking about forum plugins, as in a one-click forum installation plugin.
http://purplehazard.com/forum/ <- Is this forum you are talking about made from a WP plug in? BTW, I just registered there.
Sorry, I just realized your forum is phpbb. I guess I didn’t understand what’s a WP forum plug in is.
Thank you for registering. That is a standalone phpbb installation. The two plugins we’re talking about can be seen in action here -
1. “Forum Server” – http://winemeup.co.cc/forum
2. “Simple:Press” – http://boslife.co.cc/forum
Hi ICD, here I am…found your blog from Blog Engage.
Those are really cool plug ins…I think FresheVenture is using a similar forum plug in on her blog.

The truth is there will always be something better than the others and just when we thought we have found the best thing, something else comes up in life.
By the way http://winemeup.co.cc/forum came up with “Nothing Found, Error 404″.
I think the correct link is http://winemeup.co.cc/wine-forum/
Hi,
Thanks for the comment. I’ve been gone for about a week, so I haven’t been able to check new comments. I’m busy setting up new forum using all the previously mentioned forum plugins, so I will update that info shortly.
Thanks again.
cheers
The links you gave appear to have their accoutns suspended – are these correct? I’d love to see an example of an actual WP forum
Hi,
Thanks for letting me know. You can view the official demo here – http://vasthtml.com/support/ , but to be honest I would recommend simple:press plugin , as the installation, integration and support is great.
The simple press does have a few more features i agree, but to me the forum-server is the easiest and the best looking way to go. Simplepress is way to…. cluttered, it looks horrible with any theme you put it in.
Do you currently use forum-server? I would like to take a look, maybe setup a few new posts where I can compare the design integration on different sites.
I have taken over this plugin and renamed it to Mingle Forum.

Forum Server sucked and needed a TON of work but Mingle Forum is pretty solid now with lots still planned to improve and add in the future.
Hi,
Sounds interesting. I’ve switched back to BBpress on most of my sites because it integrates well with BuddyPress, which I’m using on most of my sites. I’ll take a look at your plugin.
hi, good site very much appreciatted
