Google Wave has been described as a real-time communication tool or an online collaboration tool. Sounds like a mouthful, but from what I understand it seem to be similar to Facebook, but on steroids.
The most interesting part, because it differs from the normal Google monopoly mindset, is the release of many sections of the code to the general public. Which means developers will be able to design their own third-party services on Google Wave. The possibilities… endless.
I say well done Google, you’re finally moving in the right direction. It will be very interesting to see how far Google Wave will go when they release it to the general public, you are currently only allowed to login if you get an invitation… *hint hint*.

I just received my invitation this weekend. Of course there are still some rough edges, but I see a lot of potential in google wave and yesterday I implemented the first wave on my blog. Unfortunately you only can see it if you are invited. You can comment there if you want an invite.
